Dhoni and Bipasha leaving the premiere in Bips’s car
The premiere of Ramesh Taurani's Race on Thursday was truly racy. The lead actress of the film Bipasha Basu came in alone. And then spent much of her time bonding with one of the India's most dapper cricketers, M S Dhoni.
Bipasha entered the venue dressed in a very classy white gown, gave a couple of breezy interviews and headed straight for the screening. A few minutes later, Dhoni entered, clad in a grey shirt and blue jeans, and rushing into the same enclosure where Bipasha was seated.
Says an eyewitness, "The media tried to surround Dhoni, but Dhoni was in no mood to give interviews. He seemed to be in a hurry to get into the theatre.”
The show ended at 1.15 am. That's when Bipasha and Dhoni emerged together from the theatre. Those who saw them come out chatting, guessed that they were seated together inside. They looked very comfortable with each other as they walked out of the auditorium. They also left together in Bipasha's car.
“There was a young girl accompanying them. So we thought that Dhoni would sit in front and the two ladies would sit on the backseat. But that did not happen,” our eye-witness adds. “All three settled themselves on the backseat, with Dhoni sitting in between the two ladies.
Does the Bipasha-Dhoni friendship stem from the fact that they have both been signed up to endorse the same footwear? Or, has Bipasha developed a penchant for sportsmen? Not so long ago, Bipasha and Manchester United footballer Cristiano Ronaldo were seen getting intimate on the dance floor at a party in Portugal.

Pakistani model Zahra Adams is being considered for the role of one of the Bond girls in the next Bond film,Quantum of Solace that goes on floor this year. Zahra who is of Pakistani-British descent has already gone through the first round of auditions for the film. Says Zahra,” I have finished with the first round of auditions and have been called again on April 2, so I can safely say that there is a fair chance of me getting selected. Yes, I am very excited about the role.”
When asked about her role in the film, Zahra says,” If I'm chosen, I'll play one of Bond girls. The character will get about 30 minutes of screen time.”
She adds, “Most of the film will be shot in South America, Canada and some parts of the UK.”
Will Zahra who hails from a conservative Muslim family, be comfortable in playing a typical Bond girl on-screen?
“I have always received a lot of support from my friends. My family however is a bit upset with me. But this is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I don't want to miss it,” says Zahra.
When quizzed whether Shilpa Shetty was also considered for the same role, Zahra says,” I don't think it she was being considered for Quantum of Solace.”
Gemme Arterton and Olga Kurylenko will play the other Bond girls in the film.

A file photo of Carla Bruni — wife of French President Nicolas Sarkozy — dated 1993 was made available in London yesterday. The photo will be auctioned by Christie's in New York tomorrow. It is expected to fetch between Rs 1.2 lakh and Rs 1.6 lakh. pic/ap
